Some guilt in not putting anything up in a while, it’s been a bit hectic; got Gastritis (not Gastroenteritis) a few days after new years which led to a few weeks of pain and discomfort and have been caught up in some tricky scenarios in 365.
Update from my last post:
- Have picked up a copy Satya’s Hit Refresh (on the day Gastritis began) and have just finished it – have to say it’s identified some things I can change and focus on this year
- Have picked python 3 as one of the programming languages
- Leaning towards French for spoken language, starting course on Duolingo
- Have done no running since the illness, perhaps ramp it up again after another month, but there’s plenty of stair climbing at the moment
- Have spent more family time but less Senpai time, child’s 2nd birthday and our 3rd wedding anniversary happened
Currently in China for Lunar New Year, hopefully the (semi-)disconnect from work will at least help a little with the stress.
Will head down to Hong Kong for Microsoft Ignite | The Tour, very much looking forward to that. Scheduler has been released and there are many, many sessions to sift through and get to!
I will probably end up cramming for 70-698 & 70-697 while abroad and book them both in for March – tempts the stress gods
AZ-20x Changes
After feedback from SMEs Microsoft have now made AZ-203 which is a 70/30 split on AZ-200 and AZ-201 since content was better suited for other certifications (see link below). The Azure Developer Associate now only requires one exam.
New Role Based Certification additions!
Lots of information here and here.
Have booked in beta transition exam MS-202 for Messaging Administrator for when I return, definitely poking the stress gods now
I will have to play catch up and publish a couple of blogs that were meant for January and also need to prepare for a Meetup presentation likely in March as well not long after getting back.

Until next time, wishing everyone a Prosperous Year of the Pig!
