September; what a blast, where did it go?
Plenty going on since last post; the Royal Adelaide Show, birthdays, delightful food & drink and catching up with old friends, the days soon quickly picked up with all the events and opportunities to engage and learn with Microsoft and its Partners.
13/09
The Dicker Data Managed Service Provider Partner Roadshow made it way down to Adelaide, over at Rydges South Park.
Frontman Tony Lam, Innovation Manager, ran a great show with updates from Diamond Sponsors: Microsoft; Citrix; Veritas; Cisco; and nbn – here’s the video recap on Dicker Data’s LinkedIn post:
14/09
Dicker Data continues with Microsoft at Rydges in hosting an Azure Breakfast Information session, led by Microsoft’s Partner Technology Strategist, Phil Meyer and Dicker Data’s Daniel Janicki, MS Business Development Manager (South Region) & Vlad Costa, Cloud Solutions Architect.
15/09
Office 365 Adelaide 2018; another roadshow brought to you by Microsoft Partners and Most Valuable Professionals.
Hosted by old mate John Liu from Sharepoint Gurus, over at the Microsoft Innovation Centre in Adelaide CBD.
Kicked off with Victor Lai from AvePoint, on Office 365 – Tales from the Field.
Robert Crane from CIA Ops on the layers of Office 365 Collaboration
Russ Norton from 3Grow on Office 365’s Modern Experience – The Story So Far (aka cover most of Colin’s content)
Lunch then John Liu on Go with the (Microsoft) Flow
Colin Gardner from KKiT and Kaboodle (#CWatHeDidThar?) – on The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly of the new Communication Portal

Finishing off with Harsh Mishra from Empired on Office 365 gets serious about Artificial Intelligence.
As usual, Colin closed out the session – John had a flight to catch home. Did not win the Xbox (again) nor the R2 D2 App controlled droid 😦
Will add link to all slide decks when they become available.
16/09
Adelaide’s Westpac City to Bay Event – Half Marathon
Ran the Half Mara with these two delightful gentlemen from Subnet.
17/09
Back to Microsoft Offices for AvePoint’s Information and Records Management Roadshow.
Run by Microsoft MVP Alumni and Director of Product Strategy, Paul Olenick and Information Strategy Manager, Alyssa Blackburn.
Slides are available here.
All this just before Microsoft Ignite Orlando 2018!
I will collate all the exciting things in my next post.
Hope you all had a good Mid-Autumn Festival as well!
